시놉시스
꿈에는 나이 제한이 없다. 필요한 건 믿음을 가질 용기뿐이며, 그 용기가 삶을 바꿀 수 있다. 일본의 두 문화적 전통인 엔카(일본의 마음과 영혼을 노래하는 음악)와 노래방을 통해 그려지는 휴먼 드라마. 조용한 상점가에서 남편과 함께 작은 건과자 가게를 운영하는 평범한 주부 요시코 다카하시는 지역 노래 경연대회에 참가해 우승하며 예상치 못한 삶의 변화를 맞이한다. 심사위원인 음악 프로듀서가 그녀의 목소리에서 재능을 발견하면서, 요시코는 가수가 되어 니폰 부도칸 무대에 서는 궁극적인 꿈을 향한 여정을 시작한다. 무대에 가까워질수록 오랫동안 잊고 있던 꿈에 대한 설렘과, 사랑하는 사람들과 쌓아온 삶 사이에서 갈등하게 되며, 그 과정에서 부부의 사랑과 가족의 유대, 자신에게 진실되게 살아갈 용기를 다시 발견한다.
연출 의도
우리가 꿈을 다시 발견할 때, 삶은 다시 빛나기 시작한다. 때로는 삶을 바꾸는 데 필요한 것이 단지 믿을 용기뿐일 때가 있다. 평범한 주부가 우연히 노래 경연대회에서 우승하고, 니폰 부도칸 무대에 서는 꿈을 향해 나아가는 과정에서 남편과의 사랑, 가족의 유대, 자신에게 진실되게 살아갈 용기를 재발견하는 이야기다. 엔카와 노래방이라는 일본의 문화적 자산을 통해 '꿈을 좇기에 늦은 때는 없다'는 메시지를 전하고자 했다.

Synopsis
Dreams have no age limit. All it takes is the courage to believe — and that courage can change your life. Told through Japan's two beloved cultural traditions, enka (music that sings from the heart and soul of Japan) and karaoke. Yoshiko Takahashi, an ordinary housewife who runs a small dried-goods shop with her husband in a quiet shopping district, wins a regional singing competition and finds her life unexpectedly changed. A music producer on the judging panel recognizes an extraordinary talent in her voice, and Yoshiko sets out on a journey toward her ultimate dream: becoming a singer and performing at Nippon Budokan. As she draws closer to the stage, she is torn between the excitement of a long-forgotten dream and the life she has built with the people she loves — and along the way, rediscovers her love for her husband, the bonds of family, and the courage to live true to herself.
Director's Statement
When we rediscover our dreams, life begins to shine again. Sometimes all it takes to change a life is the courage to believe. Through the story of an ordinary housewife who wins a singing contest by chance and pursues her dream of standing on the Nippon Budokan stage, the film hopes to deliver the message that it's never too late to chase a dream.
